Youthland Academy is hiring for a daycare center teacher position in
Dayton.
We are looking for loving teachers to join our team.
Youthland is open 6:30 AM until 6:30 PM, weekdays only.
Applicants must have the ability to work varying schedules and with multiple age groups.
Applicants must be able to conform to all state licensing requirements including a background and BCI check.
A degree in early childhood education is great, but all applicants will be considered as we offer a full training program.

*Experience is based on CPL level classification, previous experience, education, childcare certifications like a CDA or other experiences related to child care or education.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Maintain daily attendance, class schedules, incident report documentation, curriculum, daily sheets, and other documentation required by the director.
Maintain class parent and emergency boards.
Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
Practice emergency evacuation procedures with children as lead by administration.
Speak to children in a soft, calm, reassuring voice.
Manage classroom behaviors with the help of administration and behavioral health services.
Follow the daily schedule and the curriculum with consistency and developmentally appropriate practices.
Clean and organize classroom area, sanitize toys and surfaces as required.
Know and practice all Youthland Academy and ODJFS rules and regulations.
Report all incidents to the director.
Speak professionally and partner with parents.
Consistently use words of encouragement to help children learn and build self-esteem.
Maintain all sanitary practices for diapering and hand washing according to ODJFS.
Conduct meal counts and other tasks related to the food program.
Under no circumstance will physical or verbal abuse of a child be tolerated.
