Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Architect III for the EPASS HNC contract, supporting the Air Force Division.
JOB DETAILS: Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Architect located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio to support our EPASS GB contract.
As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), Digital Enterprise Solutions (DES) provides Business System functional sponsors with two executable portfolio services that launch high confidence programs targeted at optimizing current DoD investments.
These services are: Early Acquisition Services – Provides Functional Sponsors assistance in completing the activities, deliverables, and governance for the pre-acquisition phases of the Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC).
Support and assistance to Functional Sponsors includes early acquisition planning, early systems engineering, alternatives analysis, market research, cost estimation/analysis, scheduling, and transition planning.
Concept Exploration Services – Provides customers a means to explore innovative and feasible alternatives to meet new defense business capability needs or alternatives for existing capabilities based on disciplined cost/benefit analysis.
We offer streamlined, rapid, and iterative approaches from requirements analysis and design to development and fielding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/POSITION DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall perform work that involves the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the enterprise structural framework to align IT strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization.
Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include: Developing reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repository; Determining the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architecture; Recommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture; Identifying opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologies; Promoting and educating customers and stakeholders on the use and value of the enterprise architecture; Providing enterprise architecture guidance, support, and coordination to customers and IT project teams; Documenting the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including the business units and key processes, using modeling techniques; Ensuring technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by participating in test planning, validation, and reviews; Evaluating the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on IT investments, business operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other outcomes; Coordinating and conducting governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture; and/or, Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise.
(Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface) EDUCATION: Minimum Recommended Education and Experience: Advanced Degree (MA/MS) or Doctorate from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Possesses any or all of the following certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, (or associate) AWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Axure equivalent Current certification in Oracle/OCI products and/or databases CompTIA Security+ CE – Required Agile/Scrum Certifications - Desired OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Possesses knowledge and experience with any of the following technologies and development tools: Agile principles, methodologies, and enabling technologies, e.
