*About being a Purchasing Assistant at our Premier Client*
*Summary*
The purpose of the *Purchasing Assistant* is to assist the Director of Operations in performing daily duties ensuring data is clean, documentation is updated, and working with international suppliers.
Exceptional service delivery to customers both internal and external is the key operational requirement for this role.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* In conjunction with the Director of Operations, purchasing inventory and supplies through international and domestic suppliers
* In conjunction with accounting, ensure proper GL coding for invoices
* In conjunction with Product Management, set up new part numbers in ERP system
* Expedite purchase orders with international suppliers
* Process drop-ship orders
* Lead cycle counts with the Warehouse Supervisor
* Plan speaker coating schedule
* Update information in the ERP system
* Maintain ISO documents
* Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and internal customers
* Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice
*Education*
High School Diploma or equivalent while seeking experience within the supply chain management field.
*Skills/ Qualifications/Experience*
* Knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Inventory software, Internet and email software and Database software
* A team player with a positive attitude towards work, staff engagement, and attention to detail
* Knowledge and experience of health and safety standards
* Proactive with an eye for problem-solving and continuous improvement
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

*FLSA Status*: Non-Exempt, Part-time (20-25 hours per week), onsite, flexible hours and days.
Business hours are M-F 8-5.
