This role offers the opportunity to maintain accurate accounting records and oversee timely processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable, all within a supportive and collaborative work setting.
What You'll Do:
Transactional Activities Including:
Prepare and enter general journal entries
Cash Reconciliation
Support AP & AR as needed
Month End Closing Activities Including:
Support Controller and Assistant Controller in the preparation of financial statements during EOM and EOY close
Execute close journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
Report and reconcile intercompany Receivables and Payables
Prepare quarterly returns, such as Ohio CAT
Research and analyze budget variances
Annual & Special Projects Including
Perform year-end physical inventory count and reconciliation
Provide documentation as requested for audit and tax preparation
Support budget process
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
1+ years of experience in accounting roles, Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
Experience using general ledger accounting software
Excellent analytical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-motivated, with a proactive attitude towards work and demonstrated belief in continuous improvement
