Job Summary
Barrett Paving Materials Inc.
, Internship program is crafted to educate the candidate (current college student) about the different aspects of accounting in the aggregate, construction and manufacturing business.
Main Responsibilities
Learn the total accounting process by shadowing employees
Participate in month end closings
Data entry into various accounting systems
Work closely with the accounting staff to determine solutions to common issues
Skills
Basic math skills with ability to calculate and analyze data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Good organizational skills
The ability to work well with all levels of the organizations
Motivation and strong desire to tackle new challenges and learn as much as possible
Education
Enrolled in a Bachelors Degree Program such as Accounting or Finance
