In operation since 2015, ALS Integrated Services provide excellent service for our clients, we maximize their revenue so they can focus on their clients.
Payer Collection Specialists will work at our Clarksville, OH location and be responsible for:
* Research, appeal, and resolve claim rejections/denials with the appropriate Payer.
* Initiate AR follow-up of all unpaid or denied claims with the appropriate Payer or Patient.
Contacting payors to collect on unpaid/underpaid claims in a timely and accurate manner.
* Maintain a current working knowledge of all healthcare related issues and regulations especially Government payors.
* Assisting patients with their account balances
* Maintaining strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
* Attending all mandatory meetings and training sessions applicable per management
* Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards and enforce such for all direct reports.
* Learn and comply with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
* Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills.
* Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS word, excel outlook, database management, and internet usage.
Bring your exceptional customer service skills, friendly attitude, and high attention to detail, along with the following:
* High school graduate.
* Computer experience & typing accuracy
* Knowledge of insurance reimbursement, including medical billing
* Ability to operate a computer, calculator, copier, scanner, and other basic office equipment
* Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant, friendly, and helpful manner
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, fellow co-workers, and the public.
* Desire and ability to learn quickly in a team environment.
* Knowledge of medical insurance, payer contract, CPT and ICD codes.
* *Working knowledge of Epic/NextGen/Cerner/OptimisPT/Duxware/WebPT/Kario/ OpenPM/other EMR (a plus)*
