Accountant

Essential Functions: Accounts Payable processing Maintain electronic copies of invoices Maintain supporting documentation for approval Enter vendor payable invoices in JobBoss Prepare listing of proposed payments weekly Prepare ACH payments for approval Follow up on invoices that are waiting for approval Process credit card receipts and maintain supporting documentation Accounts Receivable processing Create and email customer invoices in JobBoss Maintain electronic copies of invoices Maintain supporting documentation for approval Post receipts of customer invoice payments Maintain control over customers with supply chain financing agreements Follow up on invoices that are past due Accounting Reconcile bank accounts Maintain accounting records Assist with preparing inventory reports Assist with reconciling general ledger accounts Assist with posting of journal entries Assist with month-end close process Assist in preparing financial reports Other accounting duties as assigned Requirements: Desired Qualifications: Accounting degree or equivalent experience Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles Strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills Strong Microsoft Excel ability Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively Able to maintain confidentiality Benefits: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid by Company Employee Assistance Program Paid time off 10 Paid holidays Dollar-for-dollar 401k Match up to 4% Monthly bonus potential Check us out at empowermfg.
